Special Toad on the Road shows for youngsters with disabilities are coming to Ramsgate

Head2Head Theatre

Head2Head Theatre is bringing multi-sensory theatre to Ramsgate during the Easter holidays.

Toad on the Road will give children with disabilities and their families an opportunity to have fun together as they join Toad on his journey to Toad Hall and enjoy an interactive and immersive theatre experience.

For many children with special needs attending a traditional theatre can be a daunting experience. Head2Head performances are designed to help overcome some of the barriers that exist with advance packs to help prepare the children, a relaxed, accessible and safe atmosphere and a cast that understands and adapts to the needs of each child.

There will be performances over two days with a morning or afternoon session to choose from and both groups will be invited to a relaxed picnic at lunchtime. This gives children the chance to explore the sensory tent and props whilst parents can chat to other families.

The event is being held at Foreland Fields School in Newlands Lane on Wednesday, April 17 and Thursday, April 18. This is a safe and accessible venue with hoist and changing facilities. Tickets are £5 and are selling fast.

The charity is led by a team of volunteers and the event has been made possible thanks to donations from Kent Community Foundation, Kent Reliance Provident Society Fund and Kent CC with support from Foreland Fields School.
