A fire has been extinguished at the children’s play area by Eastern Esplanade in Cliftonville tonight (March 25)
The Viking Ship in the play area was alight at around 7.30pm.
One Margate fire crew was called to the scene and used a high-pressure hose reel jet to put the flames out.
A fire service spokesperson said: “There are no reports of any injuries and no indication of deliberate ignition, although the attending crew noted that as it is quite windy, the unknown ignition source may have blown into the area.”
Firefighting finished at 7.38pm.
