Police are appealing for witnesses after an aggravated burglary where two men broke into a property in Broadstairs.

At around 1am yesterday (March 4) the victim told police she was woken up by banging on the front door of her home in Callis Court Road. She opened her bedroom door to look and saw the shadow of someone outside.

Two men then broke in and started searching a room. Items including keys, electrical devices and jewellery were reported stolen.

It is believed that both men were wearing dark clothing, tracksuit bottoms and had scarves covering their faces. The victim was not hurt during the incident but told officers they were carrying what looked like a knife.

Officers are appealing for anyone who noticed anything suspicious in the area at that time to call Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting 46/41045/19.
