Armed police were called to Broadstairs today (February 7).
Kent Police was called to Percy Avenue in Broadstairs at around 10.30am after a woman reported being verbally threatened.
The armed officers were deployed as a precaution after a man is alleged to have threatened to go to a residential property with a weapon.
Enquiries were carried out in the area but the man was not found. The armed response teams were spotted searching a wider area, including in Margate and at Westwood.
