Tailbacks following crash on Canterbury Road at Westgate

Police and ambulance were called to the scene of a crash in Westgate today (January 31).

Two police cars and an ambulance were in attendance at the incident on the Canterbury Road, at the crossroads and traffic lights by the library.

The incident resulted in tailbacks.

A Kent Police spokesman said: “Kent Police was called to a two-vehicle collision  at around 9am. Officers attended the scene in Canterbury Road Westgate along with the South East Coast Ambulance Service, where no serious injuries were reported. The road remains open.”

It is the second crash in two days on the Canterbury Road. Yesterday Kent Police received a report of a collision involving two vehicles in Canterbury Road at around 1pm.
