Competition organiser and boat owner Martin Morgan said: “Boat owners in Ramsgate have done the town proud with an amazing display of lights in the Royal Harbour.

“This year was made all the more spectacular by the addition of possibly the country’s most sparkly RNLI Trent Class Lifeboat. All of this was done despite probably the worst windy December for years.
“The lights have been judged and at the Royal Temple Yacht Club last night the winners of the four categories received their trophies from the Deputy Mayor Barbara Young. All the boat owners who took part should feel justly proud of the joy they have given to the many many visitors who have attended the harbour over the past weeks. Many boats will remain lit until the new year.”
