Four teens and a woman arrested after assaults in Broadstairs

Four teenagers and a woman have been arrested after a series of assaults and reported damage to a fence in Broadstairs.

Kent Police was called at 6.53pm yesterday (November 21) following reports a group of people were causing damage to the fence in Beacon Road.

When the two people approached the group and challenged them they were assaulted and pushed to the floor.  They then made their way to Westover Road where they were reportedly assaulted again.

Two other people who witnessed the incident and intervened were also reportedly assaulted with a hockey stick by the same group.  They received facial injuries and needed treatment.

Three people; two 14-year-olds boy from Margate and a 13-year-old boy from Broadstairs were arrested nearby on suspicion of assault and two other people; a 14-year-old girl and a 34-year-old woman both from Broadstairs were arrested on suspicion of affray.  All are currently in custody.
