Thanet council is appealing for information after waste was flytipped all across a Birchington road.

The council enforcement team was called to Park Road in Birchington following the flytip last night (September 17).

The waste was tipped across the roadway creating a hazard for drivers. One car suffered a puncture from hitting the debris.

In a statement TDC said: “Most people would agree,= there is no excuse for fly-tipping. Our Enforcement Team were called out to Park Road, Birchington this morning after a dangerous flytip happened overnight in Birchington.

“Our officers were at the site early this morning and cleared the waste away swiftly. However, there was no clear evidence to identify where the waste was from. We suspect it was from a tipper truck. It looks like it was from a floor screeding job and there was also blue paint in the waste.

“Our team would like to prosecute who ever did this. If  (anyone) knows where the waste is from, please get in touch.”
