Some seven police vehicles and armed officers were called to Kennedy House in Ramsgate today after a report of a man with an axe trying to get into a property .
Officers were seen at the Newcastle Hill towerblock today (September 18) just after 10.30am.
A man has been arrested following the disturbance.
A Kent Police spokesman said: “Armed officers were called to the scene where a man was reportedly trying to get into a property with an axe.
“The 28-year old from Ramsgate was detained by officers and remains in police custody.
“There were no reported injuries and enquiries into the circumstances of the incident are ongoing.
