A man has died following a suspected fall from the clifftop above the former Pleasurama site in Ramsgate this morning (August 27).
Kent Police was called at 9.46am to the site at the Ramsgate Tunnels end.
South East Coast Ambulance Service also attended and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses reported several police cars both at the base and at the cliff top by the top of Marina Road , where an area has been cordoned off.
A South East Coast Ambulance spokesman said: “At 9.47am we responded to reports of a man lying at the bottom of the cliff area in Marina Road, Ramsgate. Despite all attempts by the ambulance and three response cars that attended the man was pronounced deceased and the police are investigating the circumstances of the incident.”
Enquires are ongoing to establish the identity of the person and the circumstances surrounding the death, which is currently being treated as unexplained.
