Your guide to the 2018 Addington Street Revival Fair

Addington Street fair

August is nearly over, which means one thing -it’s almost time for the annual Addington Street Revival Fair.

The event will host some 80 stalls and take place not just in Addington Street but also Vale Square, Nelson Crescent and Spencer Square.

As well as vintage, antique and craft items on offers, there will be food, music, entertainment, classic cars and bikes and rides.

Businesses taking part

Vinyl Head, Falstaff Hotel, Queen Charlotte, Suzy Nina, Lee Nicholls, Paraphernalia, Marcus Voigt and Burro Burro.

The Queen Charlotte will have El Chico Burrito headed up by chef Chris Monks. He will be out serving burrito cones with choices of meat, vegetarian and vegan fillings available all day long.

Entertainment

Looping the Loop and their Caravan will bring the We Are Nearly Normal’s street theatre gang to the event.

Meet Thanet Dog Agility Team Mabel, Gladys and Marjory, fresh from the Dog Show circuit, high from the win, and ready for “walkies” as they show off their tricks thoughout the day! A rare breed of Bottle Top Full Fattus, these dogs are like no other. Meet the owners, learn how to make your own bottle dog and take part in specialised training so you too can become a part of Thanet’s ONLY Bottle-top Dog Agility team.

Join the Eccentric Explorers on an expedition around Ramsgate as they hunt for unusual inhabitants and try to capture them in their net. Help them find new species, take samples and learn to communicate with the animals.

There will also be live music and children’s entertainment

Dog show

Registration for the dog show at Addington Street Revival Fair is 10.30-11.30
Show starts at 12pm and should finish around 2pm.

£2 per entry. Rosette for 1st 2nd and 3rd

Vale Square

Bettina will host Kundalini Yoga in the gardens of Vale Square. This yoga is for everyone all ages and abilities. Just bring a mat and £5 (taster session)

Bettina Ji teaches regular classes at Archive Mon-Wed.

Nelson Crescent

There will be a vintage Ferris Wheel in Nelson Crescent.

Other attractions

A craft tent and a dressing up tent old and young. You’ve been Framed and vintage cars and bikes.

The Western Undercliff stall will be selling ‘cheeky; Ramsgate Megastar postcards, tea towels and other merchandise to raise funds for the campaign to buy the undercliff café and toilets.
