Singer-songwriter and rapper Neneh Cherry, who shot to fame with 1988 single Buffalo Stance, is to perform one of only four intimate gigs in Ramsgate.

The 54-year-old is performing the show and promoting the video for her return single Kong, produced by Four Tet and Massive Attack’s 3D.

Kong includes references to the history of Colonialism as well as Europe’s on-going refugee crisis.

Video director is rising star Jenn Nkiru and single artwork is by Turner Prize winning photographer Wolfgang Tillmans.

The four shows are in London, Paris, Stockholm and Ramsgate Music Hall.

Neneh Cherry performs at the music hall on September 11 from 7.30pm.

Tickets are £20 and go on sale tomorrow (August 14) at 8pm. Transactions are limited to two tickets per transaction.
