Margate carnival today (August 5) was colourful, loud and, on one float, downright scary!
Crowds turned out to watch the procession wind its way from Palm Bay to Nayland and Westbrook with floats from youth organisations, dancers, Samba bands, Mahogany Creative Arts and the Great British Carnival.
Youngsters from Quarterdeck, the fire service, local businesses and Margate Mad House were among those taking part.
