St Laurence junior pupils stage final show before move to secondary education

Foreland Fields end of term show

The parents of Year Six pupils of St Laurence Junior Academy in Ramsgate were wowed and entertained last week by the school’s fantastic production of ‘If the Shoe Fits’.

Based on the Cinderella story, the cast featured characters such as Ella, Baron Ben Dover, Gus (the very greedy mouse!), Buttons, Grizzy and Nutella (the infamous ugly sisters) and many more.

The dazzling show was written, produced and directed by Stevie Morgan and provided the perfect feel good send off for the soon to be leaving students and their parents alike. To the pupils’ amazement, the show took an unexpected twist when several teachers stormed the stage and performed their own rendition of YMCA!

Full of laughs, colour and energy throughout, the young cast excelled in the play.

Head teacher Michelle Palmer said: “It was an amazing performance, the children were so professional in their approach. I am sure that many of the children will go on to take drama in their new schools.

“Congratulations to all involved and the best of luck in the future for the Year 6 children who are now leaving us to go to their secondary schools.”
