Man arrested in connection with serious assault in Margate

Detectives investigating a serious assault in a flat in Margate have arrested a 39-year-old man.

Officers were called to the address in Rosedale Road by SECAmb at 1.49pm yesterday (July 8).

The victim, a man in his 40s, was taken by air ambulance to a London hospital with injuries to his neck and chest. His condition is said to be serious but stable.

A 39-year-old Margate man has been arrested in connection with the assault. He has also been arrested on suspicion of assaulting two police officers. He is currently in police custody.
