Suspicion of drug dealing and false imprisonment arrests made in Margate raid

Arrests were made

Four people have been arrested on suspicion of drug dealing and another two on suspicion of false imprisonment following a raid in Margate yesterday (June 24).

Officers from the Local Policing Team attended a residential address in Grotto Hill at around 11am on Sunday 24 June 2018following a report of drug dealing at the property.

Police seized drugs and mobile phones on arrival at the address.

Four people were arrested on suspicion of supplying a controlled drug:

  • A 44-year-old women from Margate
  • A 24-year-old woman from Broadstairs
  • A 21-year-old man from Westgate-on-Sea
  • A 27-year-old man of no fixed address

In addition, two men aged 29 and 21 from Margate were arrested on suspicion of false imprisonment.

All six people have been released pending further investigation.

  1. We need more arrests and convictions like this to end the misery it puts users under so dealers can get rich. There seems to be dealing going on in almost every street in Margate.
