Some 2,994 properties in Ramsgate, Broadstairs and Cliffsend were affected by a power cut tonight (June 21).
The outage was due to a fault on an underground electricity cable. The power went out just after 10pm. The majority of affected properties were in Ramsgate.
By around 10.30pm power was restored to the majority of properties but 371 were still in darkness.
UK Power Networks estimated it would be restored by 00.30am but homes regained power at around 11.01pm.
Properties in Herne Bay and Ashford were also affected.
A UK Power Networks spokesman said: “We apologise for any inconvenience caused and we rerouted supplies as quickly as possible.”
