A 56 year old man from Eaton Road in Margate will appear at Thanet Magistrates’ Court on June 28 charged with drink driving.
The charge relates to an incident on June 10 in King Street, Margate.
The incident was connected to a report that a man had been seen behaving suspiciously in Belgrave Road, at 6.56pm. He was said to have spoken to a number of people, including some children, before getting in a vehicle and driving away. No physical contact was reported.
Officers then attended another connected complaint of a disturbance at Grosvenor Place at around 9.20pm. A 56-year-old man was arrested and subsequently charged with drink-driving. A 29 year old man was also arrested on suspicion of assault. He has been released on police bail pending further investigation.
