What you need to know about Ellington Park’s May fair

This Sunday the annual May Fair takes place at Ellington Park in Ramsgate.

The event, which is expected to attract bumper crowds once again, will have stalls selling a variety of goods, live music, a fun dog show, steam train rides, stalls and games of all kinds, funfair, beer tent and food stalls and lots more

May 20, Noon – 6pm at Ellington Park, Park Road, Ramsgate

What’s on

If you have a dog or have family or friends with dogs, then the May Fayre is the place to go—not only is the Fun Dog Show taking place but there will also be doggie stalls with handmade accessories of all descriptions

Miss Ramsgate and her court will be in attendance as will the Mad Hatters.

Stalls will include handmade soaps, handpainted glass art, knitwear, hats, leather belts, braces, sunglasses, outdoor accessories, toys, birdfood, bird feeders, garden items, scarfs, Peter Rabbit soft toys, signs, cake stands, teacup candles, loads of bric-a-brac to browse, tutus, pompoms, bracelets, win-a-Mini competition, handmade and personalised cards, handmade quilts, bunting, cushions and wall hangings, handmade hair accessories, frilly socks, beginners’ magic tricks, handmade “rock” handbags and clothes, crystals, unusual bottled liqueurs, jams, chutneys and many more…..

Charities and community groups  taking part this year are the 1st St. Lawrence Scout Group, the Alfie Gough Trust, Cats in Crisis, Ramsgate Bowls Club, the Inner Wheel Club of Ramsgate, the Isle of Thanet Railway Society, Guardian Angels for Dogs, Angels 4 Dogs, the Dogs Trust, the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds, Sean Mills and his fairground organ (takings to the Friends of Ellington Park) and Thanet Volunteer Bureau.

Getting there in style

A vintage double decker bus will run between the harbour and the park. Rides are free

All proceeds will go towards the regeneration of the park
