Ramsgate RNLI responded to two, back-to-back calls this afternoon (April 22).

The crew were on their way to a yacht with engine failure off Broadstairs at around 5.30pm when several calls were made to the Coastguard reporting two children swept out on a dinghy at Joss Bay.

The crew diverted, found the children and brought them back to shore.

After talking to the youngsters about sea safety the crew then resumed their shout to the stranded yacht which they are currently towing back to Ramsgate harbour.
