Police are investigating a reported rape in Minster.

It is believed two members of the public may have seen a woman in a car in St Mary’s Road, Minster, between 11.30pm and 11.50pm on Friday 30 March following the reported attack.  The woman may have appeared to be in distress and officers would like to speak to anyone who saw her.

Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances and exact location of the offence.

Investigating officer PC James Fox said: “We are particularly keen to speak to the two members of public who were in the area at the time. They may not have realised an offence had taken place but we believe they may have seen something which seemed small at the time but could help us with our investigation.

“I would encourage them, or anyone else who believes they have information, to call us on 01843 222289 quoting ZY/16418/18.

“Alternatively call Kent Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.”
