Throughout March, staff and members at The Gym Thanet in Westwood Cross have been collecting Easter Eggs to donate to YouCan Youth Cancer support charity.
The group have managed to collect 200 eggs for the charity which will be distributed by YouCan to local families affected by cancer.
The project, which was formed just over two years ago, is part of The Children’s Development Trust charity with the aim of supporting young people across the south east with respite, counselling and a range of programmes.
Matt Finch, General Manager of The Gym Thanet, said: “We were delighted to support this amazing charity and have been amazed by the generosity of our members.”
Terrie Kennor, from YouCan, said; “This donation is an amazing gesture from The Gym and its members. This Easter many of our young people who are impacted by cancer will receive an Easter Egg from a complete stranger and know that there are people out there who really care!”
