Second woman charged over Sandwich Marina shooting

Kent Police detectives investigating the shooting of a man in Sandwich have charged a second woman.

On Friday 23 March  the Crown Prosecution Service authorised a charge of conspiracy to murder against Hayley Weatherall, 31, of Molland Lea in Ash.

The charge relates to an ongoing investigation into a shooting near Sandwich Marina on Wednesday 29 November 2017, where a man in his 50s suffered an injury to his face.

Mrs Weatherall appeared at Canterbury Magistrates’ Court yesterday (March 24) and has been remanded in custody.

She is next due to appear at Canterbury Crown Court on Monday 30 April 2018.

In February Heather Pollard, 19, and Glenn Pollard, 48, both of Church Lane in West Stourmouth were charged with conspiracy to murder. They were also remanded in custody and will be appearing in court at a later date.
