Investigation launched into death of man following Hengist Way crash

Police are investigating after a man died when a private ambulance overturned on the A299 Hengist Way last month (February)

Police were called to Hengist Way, Ramsgate at 1.39am on Saturday 3 February. The vehicle was travelling from the Minster roundabout and the collision took place by the Cliffsend roundabout.

The patient in the ambulance, a 66 year-old man from Sturry, died the following day. Two other men suffered injuries and were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Following the results of a post mortem and further tests, an investigation into the collision and subsequent death has now been launched by the Serious Collision Investigation Unit.
