Man charged with attempted murder following Ramsgate stabbing

Kent Police detectives investigating a stabbing in Ramsgate have charged a man with attempted murder.

Yesterday (February 26) the Crown Prosecution Service authorised the charge against Marek Pietras, 32, of no fixed address.

The charge relates to an assault at a hotel in Royal Parade on Monday at around 12.40am, where a man suffered serious injuries consistent with being stabbed.

The victim is in a serious but stable condition at a London hospital.

Mr Pietras remains in police custody and will appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court via video link today.
