Two men in court charged with Ramsgate camper van theft

Two Bedfordshire men have appeared in court charged with the theft of a VW camper van in Ramsgate.

The camper was reported stolen from Norman Road in the early hours of Saturday 17 February and was later recovered in Ebbsfleet Lane, Ramsgate.

Later that day two men were arrested in Birchington.

Craig Armstrong, 42, of Slapton Road, Little Billingham, Leighton Buzzard, was charged with theft of a vehicle, theft from a vehicle and driving with no insurance and otherwise than in accordance with a licence.

Tomasz Orzechowski, 41, of Grove Road, Luton, was charged with theft of a vehicle and theft from a vehicle.

Both men appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court via virtual court on Monday 19 February.

Craig Armstrong was remanded in custody to appear at Thanet Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 27 February.

Tomasz Orzechowski was bailed to appear at Thanet Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 1 March.
