Appeal reissued for witnesses to attack on police officer in Ramsgate

Kent Police is continuing to appeal for witnesses following the assault of a police officer who was on duty in Ramsgate on Friday 2 February.

The officer was reported to have been knocked unconscious after being assaulted by a group of people in the St Laurence Church graveyard at St Lawrence, at about 9.45pm.

He was taken to hospital for treatment and was discharged the following morning. He is now recovering at home.

At this time no arrests have been made.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who was in the St Lawrence area on Friday 2 February between 8pm and 11pm.
