British Transport Police appeal for witnesses after man hit by a car at Ramsgate train station

British Transport Police is appealing for witnesses after a man was struck by a car by Ramsgate train station.

Kent Police was called at 8.07pm to a report that a car had struck a pedestrian at Station Approach Road.

A BTP spokesman said: “Officers were called to Ramsgate station following reports of a pedestrian being struck by a  car just outside the station. Officers and paramedics attended and the pedestrian – a man in his 50s – was taken to hospital for further assessment.

“An investigation is now underway.

“ Anyone who witnessed what happened is asked to contact BTP by sending a text to 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 490 of 12/01/2018.”
