Teenager pleads guilty to Margate knife and drug dealing offences

A teenager has pleaded guilty to knife and drug dealing offences after being arrested in Margate.

The charges relate to suspected dealing spotted by police on patrol on January 4 in Millmead Road.

Officers seized wraps of suspected crack cocaine and heroin, a large Bowie sheath knife, £1,645 in cash and a mobile phone.

Chakile Gonladieu, 19,of no fixed address, was charged on January 5 with possession of a knife in a public place and two counts of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

He has appeared before magistrates, via virtual court, where he pleaded guilty to all charges and was remanded in custody. The case has been adjourned to Maidstone Crown Court on February 2 for sentencing.
