Special Stars at Christmas: We need your help to bring a festive treat to children facing extra hurdles in life

Some of our Special Star party guests

More than 60 children who are dealing with life limiting conditions, disabilities, bereavements or are caring for ill siblings or parents will be attending a special party this month – but we need your help to make their day complete.

The youngsters have all been nominated for the Special Stars Christmas party being hosted by Princess World UK, based at Westwood, and supported by The Isle of Thanet News.

In October we asked you to nominate young people that have to face extra hurdles in life for our Christmas treat.

We received scores of responses and have shared the stories of just a few of our young guests.

Two Special Stars Christmas parties will be held on Thursday, December 21 at the Princess World venue at Westwood Business Park. The events will include gifts for the children, food and drink, games and a special visit from Santa.

Princess World UK will also carry out a present run on Christmas Eve to the children’s Rainbow Ward at Margate’s QEQM Hospital.

We need your help

But we need your help. We want to give all these youngsters a small gift from Santa and are appealing for donations to help make this happen.

We are asking for people to buy an extra gift to pop under the tree at Princess World UK and help bring an extra smile to the faces of our special star party guests.

Donations can be taken to Princess World, Westwood Business Park, Strasbourg Street, Margate CT9 4JJ. Call 01843 309602.
