Emergency crews have been called to Walpole Bay beach this morning (September 20).
The area, close to the bowls club, has been taped off and police, forensics and ambulance staff are at the scene.
Unconfirmed reports suggest a female may have died at the site but this has not been verified by police.
Kent Police have been asked for details.
