A man arrested in Ramsgate is suspected of a spate of burglaries, theft and assault

Detectives investigating a number of burglaries across Kent have arrested a man.

The 25-year-old, of no fixed address, was arrested at 6.55pm on Sunday 3 September on suspicion of burglary in Bush Avenue, Ramsgate.

He was also arrested on suspicion of a further five burglary offences reported in Sittingbourne, Faversham and Gillingham. Officers have also arrested him on suspicion of common assault in Sittingbourne and two incidents of theft in Ramsgate.

The further incidents are reported to have happened between Tuesday 6 June and Monday 14 August.

Enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incidents are ongoing and the man remains in custody at this time.
