Crowds have packed Broadstairs beach for the town’s annual water gala.
The event celebrated the best of the traditional English seaside, with a packed programme including beach competitions, water activities, nautical characters, all day entertainment, family funfair and a firework display.
This year Titan the Robot appeared at the Bandstand for three and youngsters also enjoyed a seashore safari, Teddy Bears Picnic at Lillyputt Mini Golf, beach games and water sports.
There were also sandcastle, beach hut and crabbing competitions, funfair rides, craft stalls and sea shanty singers.
King Neptune emerged from the waves and even had a session with John McCormack’s Skip2bfit!
There has also been live music from Helluvaday and the firework display is due at 9.45pm.
