Broadstairs B&B co-boss Kadriye gets ready to Brave the Shave

Kadriye will lose her locks on August 4

Children with cancer will be able to have beautiful wigs thanks to the efforts of a Broadstairs B&B boss.

Kadriye Payne, who helps run The Devonhurst with husband Matthew and parents-in-law Margaret and David, is having her long locks completely shaved off next month in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support and the Little Princess Trust.

The shave takes place at Jill K’s hair studio in Ramsgate on August 4.

Cash will be raised for Macmillan though Kadriye’s donation page and the hair will be donated to the trust to make the wigs.

Kadriye said: “ I am braving the shave to help the work of the Macmillan team. I have known many people affected by cancer  and I hope to raise a little bit of money.

“ I also want to donate the hair to the Little Princess Trust for it to be made into wigs for young children suffering from hair loss through cancer or other illness. I have lots of long, thick hair and shaving will hopefully provide enough for two full wigs!”

The Little Princess Trust  works with specialist suppliers and experienced hairdressers who offer wigs tailored to the individual child’s needs to give the most realistic look and feel, as close as possible to their original hair.

Macmillan Cancer Support gives help and advice to those fighting cancer and their families.

Kadriye has already bust through her £500 target with donations so far amounting to £635.
