Families have been exploring space at a two day event in Ramsgate.

Thanks to a generous grant from the UK Space Agency, Thanet based organisation Discovery Planet teamed up with the University of Kent to bring interactive workshops and creative activities to Arts In Ramsgate new shop space in Harbour Street Ramsgate, today (April 22) and yesterday.

The 45 minute long sessions involved hands-on activities, the chance to ask questions of the scientists attending and a competition based on research currently being undertaken, where young people aged 15-18 had a chance to land a place at Kent University’s Space School worth £159.

Hands-on fun and information about space related careers was also on offer.

And if you missed it, don’t panic, it’s on again next Friday and Saturday (April 28-29).
