Residents are being advised to keep windows and doors closed as a precaution due to smoke from a large fire in the roof of the old Holly Tree pub in Northdown Road, Margate.
Six fire engines and a height vehicle are now in attendance as crews work hard to prevent the fire spreading.
The cause of the fire is not yet known and there are no reported injuries.
UPDATE 11:30am: The fire at the Holly Tree, Margate has been brought under control by firefighters.
Six fire appliances and a height vehicle remain on the scene and crews continue to extinguish the blaze in the roof and both floors of the property.
