
Kent Fire and Rescue Service is at the scene of a fire involving a fork lift truck inside the Royal Victoria Pavilion in Ramsgate.
The Harbour Parade building is currently being renovated to house a new Wetherspoon pub.

Crews were called at 3.42pm. They used breathing apparatus and a main jet to tackle the fire on the ground floor of the building and a positive pressure ventilation fan for prevention work.

The fork lift truck was 100% destroyed by fire. The cause of the fire isn’t yet known. There were no reported injuries.
Fire crews completed work at the scene by 4.30pm.
The Pavilion is due to open in August and is currently advertising for staff.
