A Margate teen has appeared in court on five charges including assault and breach of a criminal behavior order.

He pleaded not guilty to breaching a criminal behaviour order, using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour and two counts of common assault but was convicted of the offences by magistrates. He pleaded guilty to another count of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour.

On 26 August 2016 the 18-year-old attacked two men in Harbour Street, Ramsgate, and used threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour. He also breached a criminal behaviour order by congregating in a group of four or more people in a public place.

On 13 January 2017 he used threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour towards two people in Margate, causing them to fear violence.

Magistrates sentenced St Louis to 150 days in prison, suspended for 12 months, and ordered him to carry out 150 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months. He must also pay £225 compensation, £185 costs and a £115 victim surcharge.
