Young artists from across Thanet have showcased their creativity and talent at the Thanet Schools Young Artists Festival.
The annual Rotary Club of Margate’s Thanet Schools Young Artists Festival, held last month at the Margate Digital Campus, featured around 800 pieces of artwork from 38 schools and colleges, highlighting the remarkable imagination, skill, and artistic ability of students from across Thanet.
Visitors were treated to an impressive display of paintings, drawings, mixed media, and creative projects, reflecting the diverse talents of Thanet’s young people.
Prizes and certificates were presented on Saturday (May 30) by Sir Roger Gale, who congratulated the students on the exceptional quality of their work and the enthusiasm shown throughout the exhibition.
This year’s judges were artist and Chairman of East Kent Art Society, John Hughes, Barry Page BA and Brian Homewood.
Festival organisers expressed their delight at the success of the event, which continues to provide an important platform for young artists to display their achievements and gain recognition for their creativity.
Special thanks were given to Brian Homewood and members of the Rotary Club of Margate, whose dedication and hard work ensured the festival was once again a memorable and inspiring occasion.
The organisers also thanked all participating schools, teachers, parents, and sponsors who helped make the festival such a tremendous success.
