Late night shopping with a festive market, music and a dancing Christmas tree comes to Ramsgate tomorrow (December 11).
Ramsgate Town Council’s tourism manager has partnered with local traders to deliver the annual event.
It will feature the Christmas market in Charlotte Court, independent shops across Addington Street, Harbour Arches and the town centre offering festive treats and special deals and entertainment including Samba Ya Wantsum as well as the dancing Christmas tree.
Ramsgate Living Advent Calendar will also take place, hosted by Silvers, and there will be free raffle tickets with every purchase in participating shops (first prize: £50 voucher).
The launch of the Light Up Ramsgate trail will take place and there will be sparkling harbour illuminations from the boat owners who light up their vessels as a Christmas treat.
Shoppers may also spot the magical iDeer installations along the trail.
Ramsgate Town Council says: “This initiative is more than a festive celebration – it reflects the council’s strategy to revitalise the high street, encourage footfall, and strengthen the local economy.
“These activities are designed to draw visitors into Ramsgate, support local businesses, and celebrate community spirit. The council encourages residents and visitors to join in, shop local, and enjoy the festive atmosphere.”
