Superdrug opens after relocating to former Wilko unit at Westwood Cross

Superdrug is now open at the larger unit in Westwood Cross

Health and beauty retailer Superdrug  has opened its new store in Westwood, creating three new permanent roles in the new 6,566 sq. ft space.

The shop has moved up from its former unit to take over the premises previously occupied by Wilko.

Skechers is due to move into the vacated Superdrug unit later this year.

It is the biggest Superdrug store in the area, as the retailer continues expanding its bricks-and-mortar retail footprint, with plans to open 25 new stores in 2025.

The new store offers customers access to the largest range of health and beauty products, everyday toiletries, beauty treatments, and luxury fragrances. It also boasts an expanded beauty offering and a Beauty Studio area, where shoppers can access professional treatments at affordable prices, including eyebrow shaping, nail treatments, acrylics, and piercings.

Clare Jennings, Property Director at Superdrug, said “We’re excited to unveil our brand-new store at Westwood Cross shopping centre in Kent. This larger location marks an important step in growing Superdrug’s footprint in the area and gives us the chance to offer an even wider range of products and services to our customers.

“We’re proud to bring a modern shopping experience that features leading health and beauty brands, a premium fragrance section, and our in-store Beauty Studio. Plus, with 3 new roles created, we’re also helping to boost local employment and invest in the future of the community.”

Fran Donovan, Centre Director at Westwood Cross, said, “We’re thrilled to unveil the new and improved Superdrug here at Westwood Cross. As a shopping destination, our goal is to ensure guests enjoy the very best our brands have to offer, and we’re confident they’ll love exploring the expanded ranges and enhanced in-store services available in Superdrug’s upgraded space.

“This new development is a sign of what’s to come at Westwood Cross, and we’re looking forward to unveiling more exciting news over the coming months.”

  1. WESTWOOD CROSS WOULD HAVE BETTER BUILT AS ONE HUGE WEATHER FRIENDY SHOPPING MALL-WITH STORES ALL THEM UNDER ONE ROOF.

  2. “Guests” what happened to customers, unless they’re offering bed and breakfast of course?
