Crowds were enjoying the sunshine and tasty treats at the Easter Broadstairs Food Festival today (April 18)
Visitors had the choice of food and drink from almost 100 Kent producers offering everything from oysters to cakes and champagne to ciders.
The event at Victoria Gardens was opened by the newly appointed High Sheriff of Kent, Jonathan Neame and runs tomorrow and Sunday (April 19-20).
The festival marquee is brimming with family-friendly fun sessions: screen-printing table mats; seaweed pressing; creating botanical essences; container planting and a finale of Easter crown making.
Festival volunteers have been busy recycling last year’s banners and flags – creating a collection of festival tote bags.
The main bar uses a deposit-based scheme for re-usable glasses – visitors can return the glass or take home as a souvenir.
Live music is on offer at the bandstand and there are also a number of ticketed events.
Opening times are 10am-6pm on 19th April and 10am -5pm on 20th April
