Four fire engines have attended a flat fire above an arcade on Margate seafront – and rescued a dog which was on the window ledge.
Fire crews were called to Marine Terrace at 3.16pm today (October 11) to the fire in a flat above Margate Amusements.

There were no reported injuries and the dog was successfully rescued. Crews finished at the scene just before 4pm. The cause of the blaze it not yet known.
A Kent Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Kent Fire and Rescue Services was called to a flat fire at Terrace View, in Margate.
“Four fire engines attended, and crews wearing breathing apparatus, used hose reel jets to extinguish the flames.
“There were no reported injuries and a dog was rescued from the property. The cause is not yet known.”
