Get ready for the Thanet Summer Games 2024

Next week it will be time for the family Thanet Games: a week-long series of family fun days across the district, culminating in a spectacular closing ceremony on Friday 23 August.

Running at locations across the isle every day from 4pm – 8pm there will be lots of activities to try out, including football, boxing sessions, skateboarding, badminton and many more!

There will also be Nordic Walking, American football, Yoga, running, Batak, martial arts, archery, cricket, bowls, netball and more.

The closing ceremony at the Royal Harbour Academy will include sports, medal presentations, music, food and drink and a guest appearance from Olympian boxer Hannah Beharry.

Clubs across the district are coming together to help deliver games to the community.

The Games are a celebration of the recent Paris 2024 Olympics.

  • Monday 19 August – Newington Park, Ramsgate
  • Tuesday 20 August – St. Peters Recreation Ground, Broadstairs
  • Wednesday 21 August – Dane Park, Margate
  • Thursday 22 August – Westgate Recreation Ground, Westgate
  • Friday 23 August – Thanet Games Closing Ceremony at Royal Harbour Academy, (Upper School), Ramsgate
