It is almost time for this year’s Margate Pride and the colourful event is jam-packed with action.

The celebration of Thanet’s LGBTQI community is a chance for everyone to have fun -gay, straight, everything, nothing and all the in-between!

The free community event is arranged by Margate Pride, a not for profit community interest company.

1.30pm Gather at Walpole Bay hotel lawns
2pm March leaves Walpole Bay Hotel lawns
3pm Rally, Margate main sands sea front (Marine Drive.) Speakers: Sue Sanders (LGBT History month) Lady Phyll (UK Black Pride) and Charlie Craggs (writer My Trans Sisters)

3pm-6pm Street party in the centre of Margate, DJs, performers, live music from Rebecca Taylor, The Margate Super Group, Grace Shush (Miss Sink The Pink 2018) and the Margate Community Choir
6pm Ana Matronic DJing at Dreamland Sunset Session
Margate Arts Club takes over The Sundeck
Drag shows and DJs all day and night at Sundowners
9pm-3am Cockles and Muscles (Margates answer to Studio 54) at Lido Cliff Bar – theme Fierce Creatures : DJs Alex Noble, Josh Caffe, Keziah and Synth System Systers.

There will also be a Margate Pride puppy parade at the bandstand on Eastern Esplanade, Cliftonville at 1.45pm. Dress up your pups in sequins, sparkles, rainbows, the weird and the wonderful.  Pop a yellow ribbon on your dog’s lead if it gets nervous to make others aware.

Ana Matronic will DJ at Dreamland

The Ana Matronic gig at Dreamland will also include Betsy. who has been working with the likes of Joe Goddard of Hot Chip.

Tickets from £5 + booking fee, from £2.50 + booking fee for Dreamland members.

Tickets £7.50 on the door, £15 including rides and entry.

This is a no re-entry event.
