The culprit was caught on camera

Volunteers at the Cats in Crisis charity shop in Ramsgate are appealing for help after their window was smashed  during the early hours of yesterday morning (February 12).

The culprit was caught on CCTV and the charity has released the footage in the hope that someone will recognise them.

Volunteer Adele Mahan said: “This person was outside the shop for over a minute. We know it is a long shot but we are hoping somebody will recognise this person or the bike.”

Repairs to the damaged window at the shop, based at 64 High Street, have cost more than £100.

Volunteer Mary Knott said: “It was a day’s takings to pay for the repair to the window. We would just be really grateful to know what this is about. We know they’re face is very covered but hope someone will recognise their demeanour or their bike.”

A spokesman said: “It was reported that at around 4am on Monday 12 February 2018, a window was broken in a shop in High Street.”

  1. What a sad piece of… Clearly some very strong medication is needed in its case. Lock it up in the loony bin for fifty years. At least ‘big pharma’ will get something out of it.
