Two roads will be closed in Ramsgate from next week – these are the diversions

Sewer works will close a road in Ramsgate town for 11 days.

Kent County Council says King Street will be shut through to Broad Street from 8am on Monday (July 31) to 6pm on August 10.

The alternative route is via Plains of Waterloo, Wellington Crescent, Madeira Walk, Harbour Parade, Leopold Street, Queen Street, Elms Avenue, Cannon Road, High Street, Hardres Street and Brunswick Street – which will be made two way.

The closure is for  Southern Water Services to carry out a sewer repair.

North Avenue in Ramsgate will also be shut on Monday from 8am until 6pm on August 6 for Kent County Council to carry out urgent carriageway repairs.

The alternative route is via Elms Avenue, Queen Street, West Cliff Road, Crescent Road and Richmond Road.
