Two charged with Ramsgate distraction burglary

Kent Police officers investigating a distraction burglary in Ramsgate have charged two people.

A property in Northwood Road, Ramsgate, was reported to have been burgled between 12.30pm and 5pm on Thursday 30 March, during which a handbag containing cash, bank cards and other personal items belonging to a woman in her 80s, was reported stolen.

Lindsey Sprackling, 52, and Christopher McDonagh, 40, both of Hertford Street in Ramsgate have been charged with burglary and theft in connection with the incident.

McDonagh has been remanded in custody and Sprackling has been released on bail. They are both due to appear at Canterbury Crown Court on Monday 15 May 2017.
