Tribute has been paid to ‘shining star’ Julia Brown following her tragic death

The daughter of an isle actress who tragically lost her life in a fire in Broadstairs last night (January 8) has paid tribute to “a shining star.”

Julia Warwick Brown’s daughter Isadora said: “My mum was always there for me. She was the life and soul of any party with a dry sense of humour and a great love for family and friends.

“She was a shining star on and off stage with all her musical talent and love for theatre. Her artistic passion also expressed itself in her amazing mosaics and love for lighting.

“Julia will be greatly missed by everyone and I know she will be up in Heaven with her family and with Sophia (Tarjomani) watching over us all.”

Julia was a long-standing and popular cast member of Regency Productions, which was originally created by Sophia and is now run by her daughter Zahra.

In tribute Regency Productions said: “It is with a heavy heart that we have learned of the passing of our long-standing cast member Julia Brown yesterday, in a tragic incident.

“Julia jumped into roles after being dragged into the theatre by her friend, Sophia and always brought laughter, fun and joy to everyone she met.

“We will remember you fondly and cherish the memories that we created together.”

Investigations into the cause of the fire at Julia’s home in Rectory Road are ongoing.
