Dreamland Margate has announced two more events kickstarting their live music line-up in the Hall By The Sea for 2017.
Launching the new state of the art sound system in this iconic event space, and joining a blockbuster line-up for the park’s opening weekend, are Newcastle rockers Maxïmo Park.
They will play on Saturday, May 27 from 7.30pm.
Reggae legends and Grammy award winners, Toots and the Maytals turn up the heat this summer and play at the venue on July 20, also at 7.30pm.
Rebecca Ellis, Director of Progamming and Events at Dreamland, said:“We’re so excited to have Maxïmo Park and Toots and the Maytals coming to play at Dreamland. It’s going to be a brilliant year for music in Margate and we are confident that our diverse range of live gigs and festivals will deliver for the music crowd. With plenty more to announce yet, there’s a lot to look forward to!”
The Dreamland opening weekend is starting to take shape with Maximo Park playing the Saturday and Margate Wonderland festival taking place on the Sunday.
The coastal edition of Hackney Wonderland is headlined by The Kills (pictured) and will also see Carl Barat & The Jackals perform.
Dreamland’s outdoor event space launches on June 10 with Demon Dayz – the all-new festival extravaganza curated by Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett, headlined by Gorillaz.
Other festivals include Hipsville Seaside a Go! Go! – a 60s and beyond themed party and the punk, ska, dub and the reggae celebration that is Undercover Festival.
Tickets for Maxïmo Park and Toots and the Maytals go on general sale Wednesday, April 12 at 10am, via dreamland.co.uk. Dreamland members benefit from an advanced pre-sale for both of these new announcements
